Marc Crompton

St. George's School
Head of Sr Learning Commons
As a group we have breadth of experience from Outdoor Ed. to Music to Social Studies to Theatre Arts, and collectively, we have been in schools for too many years to count. We are a group united by the desire to integrate relevant and meaningful experiences into our classrooms and open our students to a wide variety of experiences beyond the classroom. We have created programs that blur the lines between subjects, allowing us to find ways to grapple with challenging problems through a variety of subject lenses.
Marc has 25 years experience teaching at St. George's School in a myriad of areas from information literacy to STEM and from educational technology to music. Currently heading the Sr Learning Commons, he has been involved in renovations of the space and runs a Maker Club and STEM program in that space. His degrees are in Music and Education from UBC and Library and Information Science from San Jose State University. He has been published in Teacher Librarian magazine, co-authored a book on collection development and has contributed to a new book on Guided Inquiry Design at the High School level.
