Brad Ovenell-Carter

Mulgrave School
Director of Educational Technology
Mulgrave School, West Vanouver
Brad is the Director of Educational Technology at Mulgrave School, an independent, coed pre-K12 International Baccalaureate School in Vancouver, BC. He has spent more than a decade working with educational technologies and his adventures include leading an international student body and faculty around the world with an iPhone, iPad and Macbook Pro. A member of the Canadian Advisory Board for the Apple Distinguished Educator program and a Google Certified Teacher, Brad has presented on the impact of educational technology at SXSWedu, Apple Education Leadership Institutes, Apple Distinguished Educator Institutes, Alan November’s Building Learning Communities, and Google Apps for Education Summits. He has also led professional development workshops at the Canadian Accredited Independent Schools, Independent Schools Association of British Columbia as well as in individual schools in Canada and the United States. He's learned that the essence of technology has nothing at all to do with anything technological. Like Mark Twain, he believes the ancients stole all our good ideas--and he intends to get them back.
