Interested in nurturing students to become democratic citizens? This workshop will focus on how to use simple dramatic concepts and ideas to help students engage in critical thinking, decision making and co-operative learning.This workshop will provide creative ways to explore a particular topic (love, change, the environment etc.) and can be applied to any subject. The focus will be on how to create easy and low-stress opportunities for students to participate in basic democratic processes through performance. Non-arts teachers are encouraged to participate. Recommended for classroom teachers grades 2-9
